The county clerk’s annual vital statistics report to the Kentucky state auditor for 1906 lists Joshaway Dehart, age 60, married, farmer, died 27 Feb 1906, cause of death blank, parents Gabe & Martha Dehart, both born in Morgan Co.

Since he was listed as age 7 in the 1850 census and age 17 in the 1860 one, the age at death is probably wrong.

Her death certificate records Caroline Dehart, age 60, born in 1851 in Morgan Co., Ky, died 18 May 1911 in Blairs Mill, Morgan Co., Ky, widowed, father Isaac Ellington, mother’s maiden name Matilda Cassity, both born in Morgan Co., Ky, cause of death tuberculosis, informant John McGuire, Blairs Mill, Ky, burial in Cy O Pery Graveyard.

The age is off by at least a year and more likely two; she was recorded as age 1 in the 1850 census, age 11 in 1860, age 21 in 1870, age 30 in 1880, and age 50 born Jan 1850 in 1900. Ages in censuses are often wrong, but a child cannot be recorded in a census taken before they were born.

1880 census of Morgan Co., Kentucky, North Fork precinct, enumerated 3 June, lists on p. 4 as family #33:
Dehart, Joshua, 36, farmer; Caroline, 30, wife; Amanda J., 9, dau; Daniel B., 6, son; Martha S., 4, dau; Mary E., 9/12 (or 4/12 - cramped digit), dau. Joshua’s father born Va, all others born Ky.

All of the children except the baby Mary are from Joshua’s first marriage, to Elizabeth Cassity. The next family is that of Joshua’s parents, Gabriel and Martha.
