Rowan Co. marriage book 3, p. 200, records the marriage on 25 Feb 1899 of Charles Dillon, 21, farmer, residence Deborde, born and mother born in Rowan Co, father born in Greenup Co., Ky, to Dora Arnold, 16, residence Deborde, born Rowan Co., to be at James Dillon’s (from license application), at D. K. Jones by David K. Jones (from minister’s return), witnesses Jack Terrence and W. W. Jones.

The preceding household is that of Charles’ parents.
1930 census of Rowan Co., Ky, Dry Creek precinct, enumerated Apr 17, lists on p. 6B as family #110:
Dillon, Charlie, farmer, 52, age at first marriage 22; Dora, wife, 44, age at first marriage 16; Harlin, son, 18; Lillie, dau, 14; Gertrude, dau, 12; Marie, dau, 9; Homer, son, 3 5/12; Arnold, Bert, brother, 43, divorced, age at first marriage 24; Scaggs, Willie, son-in-law, 21, married, age at first marriage 20; Gladys, dau, 16, married, age at first marriage 15. All born Ky/Ky/Ky. (Dora’s age should really be about 47, judging by her age at marriage. Bert should have been recorded as a brother-in-law, since he is Dora’s brother, not Charlie’s.)
