Margaret’s third marriage record lists her father’s name as Jackson Kirk. The only Jackson Kirk I can find is one in Fleming Co., who was listed as 22 in 1850 and 32 in 1860, but he is single in the 1850 census, and in 1860 he does not have a daughter named Margaret or anything similar. In 1870 he is in Rowan Co. with wife Mary age 26 (clearly a second wife), son Elzy age 16, dau Elizabeth age 14, son Harvey age 4, and son William age 2, next door to the family of Columbus Springer and Ruth Heltebrand. So Margaret’s father may have been an older Jackson Kirk, and the younger one may be her brother.
