The index to Morgan Co. marriage records compiled by David May lists a license issued on 18 Jan 1837, no return, to Harrison Kidd and Mary Letey.
This makes it look like Letey was a surname, but in the 1850 and 1860 census it appears to be a given name. I would like to see the original license. The Martt family was very intermarried with the Kidd family; it may be that her name was Letty Martt and either the clerk misentered her name or the transcriber misinterpreted it.
