His death certificate states Breckenridge Wells, age 76, birthdate blank, died 1 June 1936 in Rothewell, Menifee Co., Ky, married, husband of Molly Wells, father Perry Wells born Ky, mother’s maiden name Elizabeth Downing, born Indiana, cause of death obstruction in bowels of unknown cause, informant Edmond Wells, Dayton, Ohio.

Breckenridge and Mary Jane were second cousins once removed.

The reported birthdates for Matha and Cabe do not make sense, unless they have different mothers, since they are only 3 months apart. Their draft registration cards, from 1918, are both consistent with these dates, though, Cabe’s saying 22 Feb 1886 and Math’s saying 25 Nov 1885. Maybe Cabe should be Feb 1887, or maybe both Christa and Matha should be a year older. (Too bad the 1890 census was destroyed.)
