His death certificate records Walter W. Riddle, age 46 years 7 months 21 days, born 18 Dec 1888 in Kentucky, died 8 Aug 1935 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Lexington, Fayette Co., Ky, usual residence Bath Co., Ky, married, wife of Annie Lee Anderson Riddle, farmer, father John Riddle, mother’s maiden name Alfretta Goodpaster, both born in Ky, cause of death coronary thrombosis & congestive heart failure due to hypertensive heart disease, informant Hughes Anderson, Owingsville, Ky, burial in Owingsville Cemetery.
The reported age at death and birthdate are probably off by one year; the 1900 and 1910 censuses agree with the Dec 1887 date from his draft card. (The 1920 and 1930 censuses lists him respectively as 31 and 41, though.)

I have not been able to find a death record for Anna. She may have remarried, or she may have moved to Louisiana with her son Huse.

In 1910 Walter and his wife Anna are listed with her parents at ages 22 and 18 respectively, married within the year, no children. See the notes for William T. Anderson for details.
1920 census of Bath Co., Ky, Wyoming precinct, enumerated 10 January, lists on p. 6B as family #129:
Riddle, Walter, 31, farmer; Anna Lee, wife, 27; Hughes Anderson, son, 1 2/12. All born Ky Ky Ky.
1930 census of Bath Co., Ky, Wyoming precinct, enumerated 9 April, lists on p. 4B as family #85:
Riddle, Walter, 41, age at first marriage 21; Anna L., wife, 38, age at first marriage 18; Huse A., son, 11; Virginia, dau, 9. All born Ky Ky Ky.
The preceding household is headed by Anna’s brother Joe, and the one before that by her parents.
1940 census of Bath Co., Ky, Owingsville ward 2, ED 6-11, enumerated 5 April, lists on p. 3A as family #49, on Main St:
Riddle, Anna L., 48, widowed, proprietor of lunch room; Huse A., son, 21, clerk at retail grocery; Virginia D., dau, 19, single.
The marital status column for Huse says “M” in ink, then slashed out in pencil with a “?” next to it, apparently because there is no wife in the household. It may be that the census taker originally assumed that Virginia was his wife.
