Several letters from Lorenzo D. Hylton to his wife Barbara, as well as letters from his cousin and fellow Confederate soldier Samuel Slusher informing the family of his death, are included in the Huff-Hylton papers collection at Virginia Tech University in Blacksburg, Virginia.
