The index to Kentucky Birth records lists Hester R. Alfrey, born 4 Jan 1916 in Breathitt Co., mother’s maiden name Annie Ago. (Nearly all births in Rowan Co. in the 1911-1918 period are indexed as Breathitt Co., even though the actual birth certificates say Rowan.11)

A brief death notice in the Lexington Herald-Leader of Sunday, June 30, 1991 reported: “MOREHEAD -- Hester Alfrey Robinson, 75, of Lycan Road, Ashland, formerly of Morehead, wife of Rex Robinson, died yesterday at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital, Ashland. Services 1 p.m. Tuesday at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals. Visitation after 5 p.m. Monday.”
