His obituary as posted on FindaGrave.com reported:
“FARMLAND--Harlan (Bud) Hall, 78, Mills Lake Court, died Friday, May 4, 2001, at St. Vincent Randolph County Hospital, Winchester, after a short illness.
He was born Oct. 14, 1922, in Morehead, Ky., and moved to Randolph County, the Farmland area, in 1930. He graduated from Green Township High School in 1941 and attended Ball State Teachers College for a year.
He served with the Marine Corps during World War II and retired from farming and Borg-Warner, Muncie, in 1976. He attended Maxville Christian Church and was a member of Muncie Veterans of Foreign Wars and Blountsville Hunting and Fishing Club. He was an outstanding hunter and fisherman and a loving husband and father.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Wanda J. Hall, Farmland; his mother, Wilnah M. Hall, Parker City; a son, Robert J. Hall (wife-Alice), Farmland; three daughters, Nancy Hall, Muncie, Mary M. Trent (husband-Jack), Farmland, and Cynthia Morris (husband-Robert), Hartford City; and two brothers, Arthur Hall (wife-Jenny), Gaston, and James Hall, Franklin, Ohio. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harlan; a brother, Milton; three sisters, Anita, Marie and Jeanette, and a son, Jerry.
Services will be at Maxville Christian Church, Tuesday, May 8, 2001, at 10:30 a.m., with Pastor Jerry Brumfield officiating. Burial will be at Gardens of Memory, Muncie, with military services.”
