His death certificate states Issac Hardin, age about 87, birthdate unknown, widowed, “both wives dead”, died 20 March 1930 in Salt Lick, Bath Co., Ky, occupation blacksmith, father Issac Hardin, mother Nancy Crose, cause of death “very weak heart caused by inflammatory rheumatism about 4 or 5 years ago”, informant Joe Goldy, Salt Lick, Ky, burial Jones Cemetery, Salt Lick.

The informant Joe Goldy was the second husband of Isaac and Mary’s daughter Effie.

His gravestone says “Ike Hardin 1836 - 1929”, but it looks fairly modern, so it was probably erected some time after his death. There is a picture on at the Jones Cemetery web site (http://www.jones-cemetery.com/graveinfo.html).

I can’t find her death record, which would be sometime between 1910 and 1930, since Isaac’s death record said that both of his wives had predeceased him. She is not buried in Jones Cemetery where Ike and most of their children are buried, or if she is, there is no stone.

1900 census of Bath Co., Ky, Wyoming precinct, enumerated 20 June, lists on p. 14B as family #277:
Harden, Isaac, 53, b. May 1847, day laborer; Rebecca, wife, 25, b. Nov 1874, married 8 years, mother of 5 children, 5 living; William, son, 23, b. Feb 1877; Wesley, son, 15, b. Apr 1885; Mary, dau, 7, b. Nov 1892; Jackson, son, 4, b. Aug 1895; Deaton, son, 3, b. Nov 1896; Walter, son, 3, b. Nov 1896. All born Ky Ky Ky.

The son Wesley should be Leslie. (Isaac and Rebecca did have a son John Wesley, but he was not born until after this census.)

1910 census of Bath Co., Ky, district 4, enumerated 3 May, lists on p. 17B as family #367/385:
