The relationship between Hiram and Charles is not given, but they were both first cousins once removed on the Lambert side, Hiram being a son of Wyatt Lambert, and Charles being a grandson of Wyatt's sister Rebecca Lambert, third wife of Smith Trent, and half first cousins on the Trent side, Hiram being a grandson of Smith Trent and his first wife Mary Cline.
