1850 census of Logan Co., Virginia, enumerated 11 Sep, lists on p. 309 as family #505:
Samuel Mead, 59, farmer; Julia Ann, 55; Polly, 22; John, 20; James, 18. All born in Virginia.
The following household is that of their daughter Lucinda and her husband Joseph Clark.
1860 census of Logan Co., Virginia, enumerated 13 July, lists on p. 73 as family #462:
Saml Mead, 69, b. N.C.; July Ann, 64, b. Ky; Catherine Clark, 44, b. Oh; July Ann, 14, b. Oh; Thomas K, 6, b. Oh.
The name Thomas K. suggests that Catherine may be another daughter who married another descendant of my Clarks, but I don’t know which one. I could not find a Catherine Clark with a young daughter Julia Ann (or variation) in the 1850 census in either Virginia or Ohio.
