This Samuel Clark was in Logan Co. in 1840, where my Joseph Clark’s sons were also living. But the Logan County historical article lists no son Samuel for Joseph.
He apparently moved elsewhere by 1850. He is not likely to be same person as the Alex S. Clark in the 1850 census, because Alex had a large number of sons and few daughters.
