This Alex Clarke family were the only Clarks in the 1850 census of Logan Co. Virginia who were not known sons or grandsons of my Joseph Clark, and like mine, they were in district 32. They may turn out to be related to me, but even if they are not, it is good to have their names in my database, so that if I run into other unknown Logan County Clark names in records such as marriage or cemetery records I will be able to find other candidates for where they fit.

(Clarke was the spellling favored by the 1850 Logan Co. census enumerator for all Clark(e) families. Clark was the spelling favored by the 1840 and 1860 enumerator.)
