His WW I draft registration card, filed 12 Sep 1918, lists James Kenton Goodpaster, age 40, residence RFD 2, Sharpsburg, Bath Co., Ky, born 27 Feb 1878, farmer, self-employed, nearest relative Lucy Goodpaster, same address.
Since he was listed in the 1880 census as age 3 months, born Feb 1880, the year of birth is wrong here.
His death certificate records J. K. Goodpaster, age 38, birthdate blank, died 3 Nov 1918 in Bethel precinct, Bath Co., Ky, married, father James Goodpaster, mother’s maiden name Henreta Ridle, born Bath Co., Ky, informant Frerty Goodpaster, Owingsville, Ky, burial in Forge Hill Cemetery.
Be careful not to confuse him with James Emery Goodpaster born 16 Nov 1880, son of Worth Goodpaster and Nannie Jones, who married Jennie Stone. (Several family trees on Ancestry.com have mistakenly combined them, giving one or the other of the two men both wives.)

Oddly, although James and Lucy had three children born after 1911, I can find none of them in the Kentucky birth index.
