Be careful not to confuse him with the John M. T. Utterback born 5 Dec 1852 in Bath Co. to George Utterback and Elizabeth Turley.
His death certiificate records John M. Utterback, age 65 years 8 days, born 4 Dec 1852 in Ky, died Sep 1918 in Paragon, Morgan Co., Ky, married, father Paterson Utterback, mother’s maiden name Barb Alfrey, both born in Ky, cause of death chronic nephritis, informant blank.
The date is incomplete on the date of death field, but the doctor’s statement and clerk’s signature are both dated Sept 18, 1918. The burial date section says Sept 7, 1918, which seems inconsistent, and may have been intended as Sept 17.
