He was born February 12, 1927 in Morehead, Kentucky the son of Robert Howard and Mary (Black) Howard.
Avery worked many years for Warner Gear and was a Army Veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his son, Leslie Howard, (wife-Dixie), Muncie; and his daughter, Mary Lou Grogan; a sister, Margaret Barger; six grandchildren, Avery, Steven and Douglas Howard, Ramona Campbell, Jamie Moore and Mathew Grogan; and six great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, C.M. Howard; three sisters, Reba Collins, Ernie Kartcher and Geneva Fultz; and one brother, Arville Howard.”
