1880 census of Elliott Co., Ky, Martinsburg precinct, enumerated 19 June, lists on p. 31 as family #239:
Howard, Adison, 29, farmer, b. Ky NC Va; Hannah, 30, wife; Jefferson, 11, son; Marion, 9, son; Robert, 7, son; Landford, 4, son. All except Adison born Ky Ky Ky.

Her gravestone says Mary E. Brown, 1881 - 1954, but the censuses suggest an earlier birthdate.

1910 census of Morgan Co., Ky, North Fork precinct, enumerated 2 May, lists on p. 12A as family #149/154:
Howard, Bob, 36, farmer; Mary, wife, 32, married 15 years, mother of 5 children, 5 living; Vesta, dau, 14; Walter, son, 12; Gerty, dau, 6; Carrie, dau, 3; Rollie, son, 0/12. All born Ky Ky Ky.
