The Ohio death index lists Thomas D. Sexton, age 86, died 23 Nov 1967 at Middletown Hospital, Butler Co., Ohio, residence Middletown, married.
His obituary in the Middletown Journal of Nov. 24, 1967 reported:
“Thomas D. Sexton, 86, of 204 Charles St., a former auto distributor of the Middletown Journal, died at 11:45am yesterday at Middletown Hospital. He had been a patient since last Saturday and had been in failing health for 10 years.
Mr. Sexton retired in 1951 from employment by the Wrenn Paper Co., and was then employed by the Journal until retiring about 4 years ago. He was born in Morgan County, Ky., and had been a resident of Middletown since 1912.
Surviving are a son, Ira of Middletown; two daughters, Mrs. Opal Theiss of Middletown and Mrs. Ura Ann Bishop of Houston; two brothers Asa of Middletown and Harlan of Dayton; five sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Llewellyn, Mrs. Minnie Sexton, Mrs. Nannie Cox and Mrs. Margaret Smith, all of Middletown, and Mrs. Exa Werner of Indianapolis; three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10am Monday at the Riggs Funeral Hom, with Rev. Edwin Bobbit officiating. Burial will be at Woodside Cemetery.”

Her obituary in the Middletown Journal of April 9, 1973 reported:
“Mrs. Lillie F. Sexton, 84, of 235 Sands Ave., Monroe, formerly of Middletown, died at Woodland Manor Convalescent Home in Somerville, where she had been a patient since November 1971. Her husband, Thomas, died in 1967.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Opal Theiss, with whom she made her home before going to the convalecent home, and Mrs. Ura Daniel of Houston, Tex.; a son, Ira of Middletown; three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11am Tuesday at the Riggs Funeral Home, 210 S. Main St., with the Rev. Edwin Bobbit officiating. Burial will be in Woodside Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 7 to 9pm.”
