Morgan Co. birth report for 1855 lists Turner Crostwthait, born 20 Aug 1855, father Aron Crosthwthait, mother’s maiden name Frances Pierciall.
Notes for Mary Ellen Alley
Her death certificate records Ellin Crosthwait, age 63, birthdate blank, born in Bath Co., died 20 Nov 1917 in Rowan Co., Ky, married, father Alford Alley, mother’s maiden name Martha Crouch, both born in Ky, cause of death chronic myocarditis, informant Cyrus Alley, Farmers, Ky, burial in Licking Union cemetery.
Her gravestone and Turner’s were relocated to Bath County Memorial Gardens to accomodate Cave Run Lake.
The 1900 census records her birthdate as Jan 1856, but that is very unlikely, since Bath Co. birth records also record a son born 13 Oct 1855 to Alfred Alley and Martha Crouch, and two children cannot be born to the same parents 3 months apart.
