Pettit, Lot, 37, b. Ohio Ohio Ohio, farmer, 2nd marriage; Milley A., wife, 35, b. Tenn Tenn Tenn, first marriage, married 0 years, no children.
1920 census of Weakley Co., Tennessee, district 1, enumerated 7 Jan, lists on p. 3A as family #32/34:
Pettitt, J. L., 47, b. Ky Ky Ohio; Ada, wife, 43, b. Tenn Tenn Tenn; Louie, son, 24, b. Ohio Ky Tenn; Elsie, dau, 20, b. Ohio Ky Tenn.
Louie and Elsie are really children of Lott’s first wife Lou Mefford, so their mother’s place of birth should be Ohio; the enumerator may have simply assumed that they were Ada’s children.
