Her obituary in the Morehead News reported “Hildreth (Sally) Fraley Gibbs, age 70, of Rawcel Heights, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. Born August 8, 1940, in Rowan County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Amos and Mary Sloan Fraley. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, James Fraley and Wilbur Fraley, and two sisters, Lillian Dehart and Amanda Sloan. Her husband, Arlie Gibbs, passed away November 10, 2003. Mrs. Gibbs is survived by one son, Billy Gibbs and his wife Angela of Clearfield, Kentucky; three daughters, Trina Gibbs of Morehead, Kentucky, Lisa Fraley of Louisville, Kentucky, Charlene Purnell and husband Rick of Olive Hill, Kentucky; six stepchildren, Roger Gibbs and wife Debra of Louisa, Kentucky, Wendell Gibbs of Louisa, Kentucky, Frank Ray Gibbs of Texas, Charles Gibbs of California, Beatrice Carroll of Mansfield, Ohio, and Loretta Sue Boyd of Shelby, Ohio; 7 grandchildren; 10 step grandchildren; and 1 great granddaughter. Also surviving are three sisters, Mildred Johnson of Valparaiso, Indiana, Tina Lewis of Morehead, Kentucky, and Faye Reeves of Olive Hill, Kentucky. Mrs. Gibbs was a devoted homemaker, mother and grandmother who also enjoyed flower gardening. She was a member of the Church of God. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, March 5, 2011, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Ray Glover officiating. Burial will follow in the Fraley Family Cemetery on Kegley Ridge. Pallbearers: Joe Hall, Chris Hall, Jeremy Purnell, Roger Gibbs, Billy Gibbs, Wendell Gibbs, and Tott Purnell.”
