May 1897; McClain, Roy, grandson, 8 b. Nov 1891; Pelfrey, Edward H., father, 67, b. Mar 1833; Sarah, mother, 65, b. Dec 1834, married 45 years, mother of 5 children, 4 living. All born Ky Ky Ky.
Although Roy McClain is listed as a grandson, it is incorrect. He is a stepson, the son of Lodesca and her first marriage, to Thornton McClain.
He is also Henry’s first cousin once removed, since Thornton McClain and Henry Pelfrey were first cousins, both grandsons of Beverly McClain and Lydia Day.
