She may be the same as Nancy Sorrell born ca 1835, daughter of Joseph L. Sorrell and Phebe McCarty. Some online family trees have her so linked.

But Joseph and Phoebe’s daughter Nancy was still living with her siblings in 1860 (listed as age 20, which is inconsistent with the 1850 census, but consistent with this Nancy’s reported age at marriage), with no children in evidence. So if this is the same Nancy, she divorced early and did not keep either of her daughters. Since I also cannot find Thomas or their two daughters in the 1860 census, it seems more likely that the whole family was together somewhere, and this Nancy is a different one than the one who was Joseph and Phoebe’s daughter.

Bath Co. marriage records list the marriage on 4 Feb 1858 of Thomas Sorrell, age 22, and Nancy Sorrell, age 17, first marriage for both, both born in Bath Co. and resident in Bath Co.

I cannot find anyone in this family in 1860 (unless Nancy is one of the two single Nancy Sorrell’s in Bath Co., but it seems more likely that the family was all together in 1860, and were just missed by the census, or at least by my search of it.)
