His WWII draft registration card, filed 27 Apr 1942 in Anderson, Ind, lists Thomas Clyde Sweet, age 59, born 3 Oct 1882 in Putnam Co., Indiana, residence 1917 Brown St., Anderson, Madison Co., Indiana, occupation assistant supt. W.P.A., nearest relative Esta Sweet, same address, physical description 5’9”, 175 lbs, ruddy complexion, freckled, blue eyes, brown hair.

The SSDI lists Thomas Sweet, born 3 Oct 1882, died Jan 1966, last residence Dublin, Wayne Co., Indiana.

Esta’s maiden name appears as Fiske in all the birth records for their children, but as Fisk in all of the censuses. Possibly just a difference in preferred spelling between the county clerk who recorded the births, and the census takers, since the spelling of names was often left up to whoever was writing them down.

Putnam Co., Indiana marriage book 11, p. 3, records the marriage on 10 Aug 1904 of Thomas Sweet and Esta Fisk.

1910 census of Putnam Co., Indiana, Greencastle township, enumerated 25 April, lists on p. 7B as family #175:
Sweet, Thomas, 28, grocery salesman, b. Ind Ill Ind; Esta, wife, 26, b. Ind Ind Ky, married 5 years, mother of 3 children, 3 living; James S., son, 4; Elmo C., son, 3; Martha L., dau, 1. All children born Ind Ind Ind.

I cannot find this family in the 1920 or 1930 censuses.
