Sivis*, age 79, born 27 Sep 1850 in Ky, died 13 Apr 1931 in Bath Co., Ky, widow of David Sivis*, father Edmund Dailey, mother’s maiden name Matilda Buckley, both born in Ky, cause of death broncho pneumonia, informant John Sivis*, Sherburne, Ky, burial in Bethel Cemetery.

*The surname looks much more like Siris than Sivis all three places that it occurs, but her husband’s given name also looks like Darid, and the r’s in Sherburne and Mrs look wider (the kind with a two-level top), so apparently that is just how the person writing makes a v. (It does look like the r’s in cemetery and bronch, though.)

1900 census of Bath Co., Ky, Bethel precinct, enumerated 13 June, lists on p. 13B as family #253/255:
Manier, Taylor, 49, b. July 1850, farmer; Nannie J., wife, 47, b. Sep 1852, married 5 years, mother of 4 children, 4 living; Sivis, James E., son, 19, b. Sep 1880; Nora L., dau, 18, b. Mar 1882; Nelson D., son, 16, b. Aug 1883; John W., son, 12, b. June 1887; Manier, Merty A., dau, 11, b. Jan 1889.

All are listed as born Ky Ky Ky, but the Sivis children should be listed as stepchildren, with the father’s birthplace as Scotland.
