Putnam Co., Indiana, birth book H-3, p. 27, records an unnamed son, born 28 Jan 1890, father John Ferrand, mother’s maiden name Martha Call.

The online index to Indiana birth records lists an unnamed daughter, born 14 Apr 1896 in Putnam Co., father Ira Butcher, mother’s maiden name Ida Burnsides, book H-6, p. 25. This is the same birthdate recorded on Naomi’s marriage license to Wm Leslie Ferrand, so it must be her birth record. The birth index also lists unnamed twins, male and female, both 2 Aug 1899 in Putnam Co., mother’s maiden name Ella Robertson, who must be the Laurel and Lawrence who appear in the 1900 census as born Aug 1899. Since Ira and Ella married in 1890, Ira would have been married to Ella in 1896 when Naomi was born. It is thus very probable that her mother’s maiden name has been indexed incorrectly. (The only way I can see it being correct is if Ira had a daughter born out-of-wedlock to Ida while he was married to Ella, and he and Ella raised her as their own. A data entry error seems more likely.)

Putnam Co. Indiana marriage book 15, p. 247, records the marriage on 15 June 1915 of W. Leslie Ferrand, age 25, b. 28 Jan 1890, to Naomi Butcher, age 19, b. 14 Apr 1896.

1920 census of Putnam Co., Indiana, Clinton township, enumerated 17 Jan, lists on p. 5B as family #123/127:
Ferrand, Leslie, 26, b. Ind Ky Ind; Naomi, wife, 24, b. Ind Ind Ind.

1930 census of Benton Co., Indiana, Fowler township, enumerated April 10, lists on p. 5A as family #111/118:
Ferrand, William L., 40, age at first marriage 30, maintenance foreman, dept of state roads, b. Ind Ky Ind; Naomi, wife, 34, age at first marriage 24, b Ind Ind Ind; Martha E., dau, 7; Rosalyn A., dau, 11/12. Both daughters born Ind Ind Ind.

(The above seems to suggest that Wm Leslie and Naomi had been married only 10 years, which conflicts with the 1915 marriage record.)
