I have no known relationship to this family. I am maintaining records of the early (pre-1870) Brown families in Putnam Co., Indiana with roots in Virginia or Kentucky because of the four daughters of James Brown and Emily Cloe who moved to Putnam Co. Indiana in 1865. It may turn out that they already had other Brown relatives whom they were joining there.
