The Kentucky death index lists Alrin Ramey, age 90, died 13 Dec 1961 in Rowan Co., residence same.

Her death certificate records Ceala An Ramey, age 45 years 1 month 48 days, born 9 June 1886 in Rowan Co., died 7 Aug 1931 in Farmers, Rowan Co., Ky, married, father’s name Moore, mother’s maiden name Suza Dewitt, born in Ky, cause of death tuberculosis of bowels, informant A. L. Ramey, burial in Alfrey Cemetery.

Since Celia and Alvin were married about 1894, she clearly cannot have been born in 1886.

She was recorded in the 1900 census as age 21, b. Dec 1878. I have not found her in the 1880 census, under either Moore or Dewitt.

1900 census of Rowan Co., Ky, Farmers precinct, enumerated 13 June, lists on p. 11B as family #192:
Ramey, Alvin, 28, b. Feb 1872, farm laborer; Celia A., wife, 21, b. Dec 1878, married 6 years, mother of 2 children, 2 living; Hinley, son, 3, b. July 1896; Virnie, dau, 3/12, b. Feb 1900. All born Ky Ky Ky.

1910 census of Bath Co., Ky, White Sulphur precinct, enumerated 27 April, lists on pp. 29A-B as family #20:
Ramey, Alvin, 54, laborer on farm; Annie, wife, 27, first marriage for both, married 14 years, mother of 5 children, 3 living; Henly, son, 13; Maudey, dau, 8; Dolly, dau, 4. All born Ky Ky Ky.

The ages for both Alvin and Celia are very inconsistent with the 1900 census!

1920 census of Rowan Co., Ky, Farmers precinct, enumerated 31 Jan, lists on p. 12B as family #134/135:
Ramey, Alvin, 49, farmer; Celia, wife, 48; Hinley, son, 23; Maudie, dau, 18; Dolly, dau, 14; Lawrence, son, 8; Chris, son, 6; Lily, dua, 11/12. All born Ky Ky Ky.

1930 census of Jay Co., Indiana, Richland township, Dunkirk ward 2, enumerated 8 April, lists on p. 10B as family #281/292, at 510 Jay St.:
Ramey, Alvin, 56, age at first marriage 23, laborer at glass factory; Celia, wife, 45, age at first marriage 15; Laurence, son, 23, divorced; Christopher C., son, 17; Lilly M., dau, 11. All born Ky Ky Ky.

Notice that Celia is recorded as younger than she was a decade ago!
