One of them, filed 4 March 1941, records Andy Winkleman, age 85 years 8 months 5 days, born 1 June 1853 in Lawrence Co., Ohio, died 6 Feb 1941 in Martinsburg, Elliott Co., Ky, farmer, widowed, late wife Mary Winkleman, father Andy Winkleman, birthplace unknown, mother’s maiden name Mary Howard, born in Elliott Co., Ky, cause of death myocarditis, informant Gum Winkleman, Sandy Hook, Ky, burial in Litten Cemetery, funeral director Saul Kidd, Wyett, Ky.
The informant on this certificate, Montgomery “Gum” Winkleman, son of Andy and Polly, has incorrectly entered his own parents in the form, rather than the parents of the deceased. The “funeral director” is Andy’s son in law, and the informant on the second death certificate.
