1900 census of Morgan Co., Ky, district 6, enumerated 25 June, lists on p. 21A as family #325/329:
Hardin, John B., 72, b. May 1828; Martha J., wife, 47, b. Jan 1853, married 20 years, mother of 0 children; Stamper, Minnie, niece, 8, b. June 1891. All born Ky Ky Ky.
If Minnie is really their niece, then either one of John’s sisters or one of Martha’s sisters must have married a Stamper. But all of John’s sisters would be too old to be having children in 1891, and Martha’s were getting on in years as well. So perhaps she is really a great-niece.
