1900 census of Pulaski Co., Ky, Parkers Lake precinct, enumerated 1 June, lists on p. 2A as family #30/32:
Kidd, Jesse M., 46, b. March 1854, Ky Tenn Va; Hannah R., wife, 34, b. Oct 1865, married 20 years, mother of 5 children, 5 living; Jesse E., son, 11, b. Dec 1888; Alice, dau, 9, b. July 1890; Laura M., dau, 7, b. June 1892; George O., son, 4, b. March 1896; Martha F., dau, 10/12, b. July 1899. All born Ky Ky Ky.
The number of years married is wrong; Jesse and his first wife Nancy Cox had a daughter born 21 July 1882. Also, it is somewhat unlikely that Jesse and Hannah would be married for 9 years with no children, and then start having one child every other year (note that all of Hannah’s children are recorded as living). So most likely Jesse was reporting the number of years since his first marriage, and then the enumerator just copied it for Hannah.
