Notes for James William Ingram
His death certificate records James William Ingram, age 79 years 2 months 9 days, born 24 Apr 1872 in Ky, died 3 July 1951 in Farmers, Rowan Co., Ky, married, father George Ingram, mother’s maiden name Evelian Teal, cause of death cerebral hemorrhage, informant Nora Ingran, burial in Jones Cemetery, Salt Lick, Bath Co., Ky.
Census
In the 1880 census he was listed as William, age 8, and in the 1900 census as what appears to be Jos. W., age 27, born Oct 1872, although apparently it was really Jas. W.
Notes for Almarinda “Rinda” B. Maxey
Her reported age varies widely. She was listed as Molinda age 14 in the 1870 census, as Rinda B. Phipps age 20 born May 1880 in the 1900 census, and as Rinda Phipps age 45 in the 1910 census. (I need to get the ages from her two marriage records.)
Her death certificate records Rinda (Maxey) Ingram, age 46 years 26 days, born 11 Apr 1876 in Morgan Co., died 6 May 1912 in Farmers, Rowan Co., Ky, married, father Jacob C. Maxey, mother’s maiden name Evaline Brown, both born in Morgan Co., cause of death acute pericarditis, informant Edger Phips, Ashland, Ky, burial in Dickerson Cemetery, Farmers, Ky.
Census
1900 census of Morgan Co., Ky, district 6, enumerated 1 June, lists with the family of Allie and Mahala Law:
Phipps, Rinda B., servant, b. May 1880, 20, widowed, mother of 1 child, 1 living.
Her reported age is very wrong, it should be 34. The reason there is no child with her is that her daughter Bessie was already 15 years old.
In 1910 she was listed as age 45, widowed, mother-in-law, with her daughter Bessie.
