Her death certificate records Sarah Crum, age 72 years 8 months, born May 1856 in Kentucky, died 7 Jan 1929 in Laurel precinct, Elliott Co., Ky, widowed, father Lem Johnson, mother’s maiden name Karmie Johnson, both born in Virginia, cause of death influenza, informant H. H. Johnson, Ordinary, Ky, burial in Crum Cemetery.

1880 census of Elliott Co., Kentucky, Mocassin precinct, enumerated 10 June, lists on p. 16 as family #104:
Crum, George, 26, farmer; Sarah, 20, wife; Francis M., 6, son; Leamualer, 3, son; Causby E., 7/12, b. March, dau.
The son listed here as Leamualer later became known as Bee.
1900 census of Elliott Co., Ky, Brown precinct, enumerated 21 June, lists on pp. 16B-17A as family #266/272:
Crumb, George, 46, b. 1854; Sarah, wife, 42, b. 1858, married 26 years, mother of 10 children, 9 living; Cosba, dau, 20, b. 1880; Manda, dau, 17, b. 1883; Henry, son, 15, b. 1885; Lemuel, son, 13, b. 1887; Martha, 10, b. 1890; Emma, 8, b. 1892; Leslie, son, 4, b. 1896. All born Ky Ky Ky.
(All the Crum families in Elliott Co. are recorded as Crumb in 1900. It must have been the preferred spelling of the enumerator that year, John Milton Johnson, son of Hugh Johnson.)
This is the only family on both pages where the months of birth are not recorded. Note that all of the reported years and ages add up to 1900. This probably indicates that the years were obtained by subtracting the reported age from 1900, rather than being an actual reported year of birth, since it is unlikely that everyone in such a large family would have been born before June.
