He appears in the 1850, 1860, 1880 and 1910 censuses as Daniel W., in the 1870 census as just Daniel, and in the 1900 and 1920 censuses and his death certificate as Richard W. I know of no record that shows all three given names, and therefore I do not really know their relative order.

Bayless, age 83 years 8 months 0 days, born 7 March 1837 in Indiana, died 7 Nov 1920 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Lexington, Fayette Co., Ky, retired farmer, widowed, father Wm Bayless, mother’s maiden name Lucy, birthplaces blank, cause of death apoplexy, paralysis of left side, informant J. L. Gregory, Fayette Co., Ky, burial in North Middletown, Ky.
