He was a farmer and lived in the community for the past 18 years. He was a member of the Junior Order of United American Mechanics.
Survived by two sons, Luther Steagall of Vida, Oregon and Willard Steagall of Coatsville, Indiana, one daughter Faye Morrissey, Los Angeles California. 2 grand children and 4 Great Grandchildren. 2 sisters, Julia Cooper of Batavia, Ohio and Martha Cooper of Cranston, Kentucky.
