His WW I draft registration card, filed 12 Sep 1918, records Beve Ratliff, age 32, residence Lee City, Wolfe Co., Ky, born 9 Oct 1885, farmer, self-employed, nearest relative Lillie Ratliff, same address.

The 1900 census, though, listed him as age 12, born Oct 1887.

By 1920 Lily was living with her parents, listed as widowed, but I cannot find a death record for Beverly.

Ratliff, Peter, 39, b. Dec 1860, Va Va Va, farmer; Nancy, wife, 48, b. May 1852, Ky Ky Ky; Thomas, son, 18, b. Apr 1882; Lizzie, dau, 16, b. Feb 1884; Emmie, dau, 14, b. Nov 1885; Bev, son, 12, b. Oct 1887; Maggie, dau, 9, b. Oct 1890. All children born Ky Va Ky.

1910 census of Wolfe Co., Ky, Lee City, enumerated 13 May, lists on p. 22A as family #249/250:
Ratliff, Beverly, 22; Berta(?), wife, 16, first marriage for both, married 1 year, mother of 1 child, 1 living; Arlie, son, 1/12. All born Ky Ky Ky.

This census is faint and difficult to read. I do not know whether this represents a previous marriage, or if the wife is really Lily going by her middle name.

1920 census of Wolfe Co., Ky, Hazel Green precinct, enumerated 17 Jan, lists on p. 9B as family #190/195:
Taulbee, Thomas, 49, farmer; Mary J., wife, 46; Troy, son, 21; Ratliff, Lillie, dau, 27, widowed; Taulbee, Edgar, son, 15; Gladys, dau, 13; Hiram, 11, son; Henry T., 8, son; Ratliff, Howard, grandson, 3. All born Ky Ky Ky.

I do not know where Lillie’s son listed as Jeff Ratliff age 19 in the 1930 census is.
