Her obituary in the Linn County Leader reported “Quentine Riddle, 85, Brookfield, died Thursday, July 2, 2009, at McLarney Manor, Brookfield.
Lillie Quentine was born February 11, 1924, in St. Catharine, daughter of Arthur Lee and Minnie (Morris) Stevens. She married Milton Yagel in 1942. She then married Vernon Delbert Riddle, September 1, 1978. He preceded her in death April 30, 1995.
Mrs. Riddle had worked at Brown Shoe Factory, Brookfield, and was a homemaker. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Brookfield.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Carole Yagel, Joplin; four step-sons, David, Richie, George and Dan Riddle; five grandchildren including, Eric Yagel, Kirksville, and Contessa Yagel, Hawk Point; 10 step-grandchildren; four nieces, Sally Mills, and Mindy Britton, Brookfield, Cindy Sportsman, Marceline, and Barbara Pfizenmayer, Newport News, Va.; and two nephews, Bill Hayes, Belton, and Kevin Golden, Kansas City.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; five sisters, Myrtle Crowell, Edna Dowell, Gladys Golden, Ruth Conlin and Berniece Hayes; and one brother, Bernard Stevens.”
