Notes for Catherine (Family)
Catherine was one of a long line of independent Marshall women. She was born out-of-wedlock to Susannah Marshall before Susannah’s marriage to Uriah Spence. Catherine’s first daughter Louvenia was born when she was only 15. Louvenia then went on to raise four children on her own.
