Her gravestone says Amanda Jane Kissinger, April 29, 1873 - April 26, 1950 “Meet me in Heaven”.

I cannot find a marriage record for Mitch and Amanda. Since Rowan Co. marriage records for the 1890’s are fairly complete, that probably means they were married in Elliott Co.

1900 census of Rowan Co., Ky, Hoggtown precinct, enumerated 1 June, lists on p. 1B as family #14:
Kissinger, Mitch, 29, b. Oct 1870, farmer; Amanda J., 28, b. Apr 1872, wife, married 7 years, mother of 3 children, 3 living; Verda E., girl, 6, b. Jan 1894; Rosa, girl, 4, b. May 1896; Everet, son, 1, b. Feb 1899. All born Ky Ky Ky.

Mitch’s parents James and Martha are listed two households above at #12.

1910 census of Rowan Co., Ky, Hogtown precinct, enumerated 29 April, lists on p. 11B as family #184:
Kissinger, Mitch, 39, farmer; Mandy J., wife, 37, first marriage for both, married 17 years, mother of 7 children, 6 living; Virdy, dau, 15; Rosa, dau, 12; Everet, son, 10; Virgil, son, 7; Rora, dau, 3; Marvin, dau, 10/12. All born Ky Ky Ky.

Although it is listed as Mitch’s first marriage, he is recorded as having previously married Maggie White in 1891.

I cannot find this family in 1920 or 1930.
