His WW I draft registration card, filed 5 June 1917, records Otto Car, age 25, residence Ezel, Morgan Co., Ky, born 2 Oct 1891 in Ezel, Ky, occupation telephone line man, employed by father, single, no exemption claimed.
The SSDI lists Otto Carr, born 2 Oct 1891, died Feb 1967, last residence Morehead, Rowan Co., Ky. He does not appear in the Kentucky death index, and the Florida death index lists Otto Carr, died Feb 1967 in Manatee Co., Florida, so apparently he died there, either while visiting or residing with a relative. His gravestone has his death date as 6 Feb 1967. His FindaGrave memorial notes that he owned Carr Lumber Company, located on corner of West Main Street and Norman Wells Lane in Morehead, from 1938 until his death.
Otto’s parents were Thomas Floyd Carr (1857-1935) and Mary Ellen Havens (1862-1944). Thomas’s parents were James Jefferson “Jeff” Carr and Martha Alice “Patsy” Jennings. Mary’s were Samuel Havens and Lucretia Murphy.
