Notes for John Click
His reported age and birthdate varies greatly, from 1882 to 1890. I am giving precedence to the earliest record, from the 1900 census.
His death certificate records John Click, age 56, born 1882 in Elliott Click, died 26 May 1938 in Rowan Co., Ky, father John Bailey, mother’s maiden name Hulda Click, both born in Ky, cause of death “protomain poison from eating out of garbage can on city dump idiot”, informant George Fraley, Morehead, Ky, burial in Silome.
(I suspect the reason the birthplace says “Elliott Click” is that someone mistakenly thought the father’s surname was missing, i.e., that his full name was John Bailey Click, and placed it in the line above, after the main entries were filled out.)
The informant George Fraley is his son-in-law, husband of John and Sarah’s oldest daughter Mary.
