The first entry is for Wales S. Dehart, born 1 May 1915 in Elliott Co., mother’s maiden name Hattie Mays, certificate Vol. 46, #22889, recorded 1915.
The second is Scott W. Dehart, born 6 May 1916 in Elliott Co., mother’s maiden name Hattie Mays, certificate Vol. 224, #96664, recorded 1953.
My guess is that somewhere along the line, Scott started thinking he was born in 1916 as Scott W. Dehart, and when he could not find a birth certificate under that date and name, he filed for a delayed certificate.
