His WW I draft registration card, filed 12 Sep 1918, records Jordan Curtis, age 42, born 27 July 1876, residence Hilda, Rowan Co., Ky, occupation farming, employer G. M. Hall, Hilda, Ky, nearest relative Charlie & James Curtis, Hilda, Ky.
The reported birthdate is in conflict with that of his brother Jesse, which was reported to be Feb 1877 (there are slightly less than 6 months between the two dates).
He is listed as age 4 in the 1880 census, taken in June. I have not found him in the 1900 census. (If he was shuffling around between the homes of his married siblings, he may have been missed.)
His death certificate records Jordan L. Curtis, age 77, born 27 Aug 1876 in Ky, died 31 Dec 1953 in Colfax, Fleming Co., Ky, widowed, retired farmer, father Henry Curtis, mother’s maiden name Martha Purvis, cause of death chronic myocarditis, informant Henry Curtis.

The age/birthdate is very curious, since Maggie should have been at most 32. (She was listed in the 1900 census as age 16 born Sep 1883, and in the 1910 census as 24, and her mother was born in 1847.)
