Since he was recorded as age 8 months in the 1870 census, the birthdate is off by one year.

Her gravestone says Lidia M. Thomas, Apr 9, 1869 - Feb 2, 1952. I cannot find her in the Kentucky death records. She was listed as age 2 in the 1880 census.

Rowan Co., Ky marriage book 1, p. 210, records the marriage on 24 April 1889 of James W. Thomas, consent from Cm Thomas, and Lyda Pelfrey, consent and bond surety from Isaac T. Pelfrey.
