Census
1880 census of Coshocton Co., Ohio, Clark township, enumerated 24 June, lists on p. 23 as family #206/217:
Fichter, G. John, 24, blacksmith, b. France France France; A. Mary, 21, wife, b. Switz Switz Switz; G. John, 3, son; F. Samuel, 1, son; M. Elizabeth, 8/12, b. Oct, dau. All children born Ohio France Switz.
This census taker lists everyone in the whole precinct who has an initial with it before the given name, presumably interpreting the “last name first” rule as meaning to reverse the entire name. So these should not be taken as meaning that everyone is going by their middle name. (Although it is probably true for the head of household, since it is a very common German naming convention to begin with Johann and then go by the second name.)
1900 census of Richland Co., Ohio, Jackson township, enumerated 18 June, lists on p. 8B as family #174/181:

1920 census of Richland Co., Ohio, Sharon township, enumerated 15 Jan, lists on p. 12A at 16 Earl Ave., Shelby, as family #241/249:

In 1930 Gale, Adaline and Ruth are all living in Shelby with Lucia and her husband, Noah Cassity. I’m pretty sure Samuel is the Sam Fichter age 50 listed in Morgan Co., Ky as recently married to Laura Alfrey, but the birthplaces do not match, so I’m not linking them unless I get further evidence.
