His obituary reported “Harley Worden, 86, of Oak Street, died Saturday morning in Muskegon, Mich. where he had been making his home for the past several months.
He was a native of Athens County and was a retired coal miner. In early years he was active in Democrat Party affairs.
His wife, Margaret, died in 1961. Survivors include a son William of Muskegon, Mich.; two daughters, Mrs. Louise Hooker of Muskegon and Mrs. Nelle Humphrey of Chicago, Ill; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home, Nelsonville, and burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery.”
