1900 census of Pike Co., Ky, district 2, enumerated 25 June, lists on p. 28B as family #477/498:
Hall, Malon, 57, b. Feb 1843, Ky N.C. Ky, farmer, married 39 years; Nancy, wife, 64, b. May 1836, married 45 years, mother of 0 children, 0 living; Hall, George, son, 22, b. June 1878; Florence, dau-in-law, 22, b. May 1877, married 5 years, mother of 3 children, 2 living; John, grandson, 2, b. Nov 1897; William, grandson, 7/12, b. Oct 1899; Sarah, mother, 86, b. June 1813, widowed, mother of 12 children, 5 living. All except Malon born Ky Ky Ky.

The data for Nancy is very odd. Either it is full of errors, or Mahlon married twice, and his second wife was older and was also named Nancy. (Even then, the number of years married is supposed to be the number of years in the CURRENT marriage, not the number of years since the first marriage.)

The preceding household is headed by their son James, and two households above that is their son Esau.
