1880 census of Carter Co., Ky, precinct 6, enumerated 18 June, lists on p. 32 as family #262:
Stephens, Annie, 30, divorced; James W., 8, son; John H., 6, son; Charles, 4, son; Watell, 6/12, b. Dec, son. Blevins, Elisha, 17, farm laborer. All born Ky Ky Ky.

Two households above is the family of Henry’s parents.

Although Annie is listed as divorced here, it may be that she and Henry were only separated, because the parents of William Stevens born in April or May 1881 and Albert Stevens born in Feb 1884 were listed on their death certificate as Henry Stevens and Anna Binion. (It is possible, however, that their parents were listed incorrectly by the informants on the death certificates.)
