His obituary in the Oklahoma Grove Sun of 17 Dec 2010 reported “Verlin L. Watson, 62, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma passed away Friday, December 10, 2010 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. He was the owner/operator of a Broiler House for Tyson. Mr. Watson was the former owner/operator of CNT Express Trucking, a carpenter and cattle rancher. He was a singer, songwriter and musician who enjoyed playing the guitar. He was of the Baptist faith. He was born May 22, 1948 in Richmond, Indiana, the son of William Spear Watson and Thelma Justeen (Smith) Watson. He married Linda Sue (Harvell) Watson on January 31, 1987 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas.
Survivors are wife, Linda Sue, of the home, four daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy and Mike Crose of Red Oak, Okla., Tami and Matt Edwards of Tulsa, Okla., Heather and Derrick Jameson of Catoosa, Okla., and Tina and Tracy Campbell of Tulsa, Okla.; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Verlin Anthony "Tony" and Anna Watson of Claremore, Okla. and Van Ray Greenwood, Jr. of Oklahoma; 18 grandchildren; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Debbie and Donnie Sheppard and Sherry Williams all of Indiana; and step-father, George Feasleman of Indiana.”
